Hyundai Mobis opens new R&D hub in Bengaluru
Press Release, 9 December 2025
Hyundai Mobis has officially launched a dedicated software-research hub in Bengaluru one of India’s top technology and IT centers marking a major step in its India expansion efforts. This new facility will operate alongside its recently established integrated R&D center in Hyderabad as part of a dual-hub strategy tailored to regional strengths.
The Bengaluru hub is primarily focused on software for infotainment and related automotive systems, responding to a growing demand driven by rising adoption of larger vehicles, EVs and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) in India. By tapping into Bengaluru’s rich software-talent ecosystem and its proximity to many local customers, Hyundai Mobis aims to accelerate turnaround times for customer requests and strengthen its global competitiveness.
Meanwhile, the Hyderabad center will continue to serve as the company’s regional R&D headquarters shaping software strategies, coordinating with global research centers, and focusing on application design. The two-pronged presence is expected to provide Hyundai Mobis with greater flexibility, enabling it to build a robust hardware-software integrated platform that meets both local and global automaker needs.
With its expanded Indian R&D footprint, Hyundai Mobis is positioning itself to ride the wave of India’s shifting automotive market from compact cars to mid-size and large vehicles and rise in demand for high-value electronic automotive components.
