Hyundai Mobis opens automotive software R&D center in Hyderabad

News, 8 April 2025
Hyundai Mobis, the parts subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group, announced the opening of a R&D center for automotive software in Hyderabad, India.
This new facility, inaugurated on April 7, 2025, consolidates the company’s two previously existing R&D centers in India (established in 2007 and 2020) into a single hub.
Hyundai Mobis aims to develop the Indian center into a global software hub that provides software-defined vehicle solutions for automakers. This initiative supports the company’s goal of creating an integrated hardware-software platform for software-defined vehicles (SDVs), which will help reduce development costs and enhance R&D efficiency for global clients. The company also plans to increase the center’s involvement in early new product development stages and improve local vehicle software production efficiency through the use of artificial intelligence.
