Hyundai and Air Liquide join forces to supercharge the global hydrogen economy
Press Release, 5 December 2025
Hyundai Motor Group and Air Liquide have expanded their strategic partnership with fresh momentum renewing their agreement at the Hydrogen Council CEO Summit in Seoul (Dec 2–4, 2025) to build a truly global hydrogen ecosystem that spans production, storage, transport and usage.
The collaboration will extend across key regions including Europe, the United States, and Korea with a special focus on heavy-duty transport, logistics and public transit. By combining Air Liquide’s deep expertise in hydrogen technologies with Hyundai’s proven mobility innovations, the alliance aims to scale up hydrogen adoption in applications ranging from freight and commercial fleets to clean public transport.
This renewed partnership signals more than just clean mobility — it’s a coordinated push toward a low-carbon energy infrastructure. The two firms plan to collaborate on hydrogen fueling and storage infrastructure, expanding supply chains and pushing hydrogen as a practical solution for global decarbonization. As co-chairs of the Hydrogen Council, they also pledge to lead policy advocacy and industry standardization efforts worldwide.
