Hong Kong Environment & Ecology Bureau has agreed in principle to four pilot projects on hydrogen fuel technology.
Sinopec (Hong Kong) submitted an application for the first project, which involves using solar energy to produce hydrogen at the rehabilitated Pillar Point Valley Landfill in Tuen Mun.
The second one is a joint application from the companies with China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) to test out a 55-seater hydrogen fuel coach, a 19-seater hydrogen fuel minibus and hydrogen fuel forklift trucks available for on-site maintenance.
The third project is a collaborative proposal from Kingroad Logistics, Allenbus Automotive Technology Co., and Hong Kong Hydrogen Fuel Cell Company to test an hydrogen fuel medium goods truck for cross-border transportation.
The fourth one relates to Sinopec’s (Hong Kong) request to test an hydrogen fuel light goods vehicle at its Tsing Yi oil terminal for transportation purposes.
