Hinduja Group to Invest ₹20,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh in energy & electric mobility
Press Release, 5 November 2025
The Hinduja Group has signed a major agreement with the Andhra Pradesh government to invest approximately ₹20,000 crore in phases across the state’s energy and electric mobility sectors. Under the deal, the Group will expand its existing 1,050 MW power facility in Visakhapatnam by adding roughly 1,600 MW, while also rolling out large-scale solar and wind farms in the Rayalaseema region.
In addition to energy generation, the investment covers electric vehicle manufacturing—starting with a plant for e-buses and light commercial vehicles in Mallavalli, Krishna district—and a state-wide network of EV charging stations to support that ecosystem. With this initiative, Andhra Pradesh positions itself as a growing hub for clean energy, advanced mobility and manufacturing, while the company gains a strategic foothold in India’s transition to greener transport and power. A fast-track implementation window has been proposed to accelerate approvals and job creation.
