Force Motors sets aside ₹2,000-crore war chest to drive global growth and product expansion
Press Release, 17 November 2025
Pune-based Force Motors, recognised for its shared-mobility light commercial vehicles and multi-utility platforms such as Traveller and Urbania, has earmarked roughly ₹2,000 crore in capital expenditure over the next three years. The investment will fund digitisation, manufacturing modernisation, sales infrastructure enhancement, and the launch of electric-mobility solutions.
According to Managing Director Prasan Firodia, Force Motors is strengthening its core in shared mobility while expanding into defence and overseas markets. The company already enjoys more than 70 % market share in its Traveller segment in India and currently exports to over 20 countries. With the new plan, it aims to increase its presence in Latin America and Africa, and raise exports to account for 20-30 % of total volumes in time. The firm will also launch new EV-based products such as the Traveller EV ambulance and an electric version of Urbania. On the passenger car front, Force Motors will stay lean: prioritising its Gurkha SUV in defence and exports rather than entering the broader passenger-vehicle market.
