Energy-tech firm EMO Energy, based in Bengaluru, has raised $6.2 million in a Series A fundraising round headed by Subhkam Ventures, with assistance from Transition VC, an existing investor. EMO Energy, which was established in 2022 by Sheetanshu Tyagi and Rahul Patel. It specializes in creating hardware and software for batteries for energy storage and mobility.
A Cell Agnostic system that enables 20-minute charging and battery life extension to more than five years is incorporated into the company’s ZEN technology stack. Among its products are machine learning-based battery life optimization methods, AI-driven battery management systems, and active thermal management. These can be used with industrial energy storage systems, light commercial vehicles, and electric two-wheelers.
The money will be used to install 1 GWh of energy storage and scale energy solutions for two- and three-wheelers to over 1 lakh vehicles over the course of the next two years. A portion of the investment will assist team growth and improve research and development for the business’ battery health extension software.
EMO Energy is testing energy storage systems for commercial and industrial uses such peak shaving and diesel generator replacement. To date, the company has installed over 2,000 battery packs in the mobility space. Among its customers are Domino’s, Blinkit, BigBasket, and Kinetic Green.
