Embassy of Spain and ICEX Organizing Event in Bangalore Focused on Automotive and Smart Mobility
The Economic & Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in Mumbai in collaboration with ICEX Trade & Investment will organize an event at the Hyatt Centric, MG Road in Bengaluru on the 18th of November 2019. This event endeavors to foment trade relations between the two countries vide joint investment initiatives, and technical cooperation between Indian and Spanish companies in the Automotive and Smart Mobility segment.
With a turnover of €103 billion in 2018, Spain is the 2nd largest automotive manufacturer in the EU and the 9th in the world. The automotive industry provides multiple opportunities for both Spanish and Indian companies as the industry is experimenting in a far-reaching evolution towards a more efficient, smart and sustainable manufacturing and mobility systems.
Strengthening relationships and mutual investments is essential to continue leading growth and increase competitiveness. Spain is committed to the European transport and mobility strategy. The Government of Spain also supports smart mobility projects through grants and incentives thus leading the companies towards a new concept of mobility with a view to increasing their business activity and competitiveness.
Spanish companies, technology centers, universities and research groups are participating in two thirds of EU mobility projects and leading referent projects in propulsion systems, energy storage, connected and automated vehicles, lightweight or digital factories. This concept represents and shows an innovative scope for the Spanish automotive sector.
The organizers are inviting the companies working in these fields to the event at the Hyatt Centric, MG Road in Bengaluru on the 18th of November 2019.
