e-con Systems adds new cameras for Renesas RZ/G3E
Press Release, 22 September 2025
e-con Systems has expanded its camera module lineup to fully support Renesas’ newest microprocessor, the RZ/G3E, opening up stronger options for embedded vision systems in fields like industrial automation, smart cities, and automotive applications. The RZ/G3E is part of Renesas’ scalable MPU series and is built for efficient edge computing. It features secure connectivity, dual-display support, and is powered by an Arm® Cortex®-A55 CPU.

Two camera modules are now certified for use with the RZ/G3E evaluation kit: the e-CAM22_CURZH, which uses Sony’s STARVIS™ IMX462 sensor to deliver full-HD imaging in very low light; and the e-CAM25_CURZH, featuring a global shutter on the onsemi® AR0234 sensor that can shoot at 120 fps to ensure distortion-free imaging of fast motion. Both modules have built-in ISPs (Image Signal Processors) and meet integration requirements set by Renesas. According to e-con Systems, with this addition, developers can more easily build reliable AI vision systems that maintain high image quality even under demanding conditions.
