Last week, at the Dongfeng Research and Development Center in Wuhan, Dongfeng Motor launched its 400kW hydrogen fuel cell stack called Dongfeng Hydrogen Core.
This fuel cell stack is specifically designed for 49-tonne heavy-duty trucks and showcases several groundbreaking features, including a single stack power output exceeding 400kW, efficient performance, and low-temperature cold-start capability down to -40°C, which is crucial for operation in harsh conditions. Additionally, the stack exhibits high power density, durability, and robust adaptability to various environments.
The introduction of the 400kW hydrogen fuel cell stack represents a significant advancement in Dongfeng Motor’s research and development efforts in hydrogen energy technology. This technology is not only aimed at heavy-duty trucks but also has potential applications in ships, mining trucks, and locomotives, signifying a broader scope for hydrogen fuel cells in the transportation sector.
