Cox Automotive & UVeye launch new tech for dealers
Press Release, 4 February 2026
Cox Automotive’s vAuto and AI inspection specialist UVeye have rolled out a new integration that brings advanced, AI-powered vehicle inspections directly into the dealership workflow a move set to transform how used cars are appraised and merchandised. The enhanced system, now live at select dealerships including Brickell Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Miami, uses UVeye’s high-speed scanners to capture exterior, underbody, and tire condition data in seconds and feeds these insights straight into vAuto’s appraisal and inventory tools. This allows dealers to assess trade-ins rapidly and accurately while a customer’s vehicle is still in the service drive, helping them generate offers, merchandising assets, and inventory decisions in near real time.
By combining AI-driven condition intelligence with vAuto’s data-rich platform, the partnership aims to reduce friction and subjectivity in critical dealership processes. According to Cox Automotive leadership, the new capability places condition data at the heart of appraisal and sourcing decisions, enabling dealers to identify high-value vehicles earlier, act faster on acquisition opportunities, and improve transparency with customers through data-backed pricing. UVeye’s CEO also highlighted how the collaboration helps bridge service and sales operations by automating inspections and turning raw vehicle condition information into actionable insights. Early testing of the integrated solution has already supported over 850 vehicle acquisitions using the new automated process.
The enhanced AI inspection features are being showcased at the 2026 NADA Show in Las Vegas, where Cox Automotive and UVeye are demonstrating how this technology streamlines workflows from the service lane to retail readiness. As dealerships look to sharpen efficiency and customer experience in a competitive used-car market, the integration represents a strategic step toward more intelligent, transparent, and real-time decision-making across appraisal, inventory management, and merchandising.
