Date: February 28, 2024. — City Transformer, an Israel-based electric vehicle company startup, is gearing up to launch its revolutionary foldable electric vehicle, the CT-2, in July 2024. This car aims to ease urban traffic congestion and parking woes with its unique patented folding mechanism. It is hoped that the foldability of the car will help increase the number of vehicles that can be parked in a given area, reducing traffic congestion and parking problems in cities.
The CT-2’s unique feature allows it to reduce its width to a just 1 meter, making it extremely easy to navigate tight streets and park in small areas. Moreover, the vehicle may comfortably seat two adults in tandem or one adult and two youngsters.
City Transformer’s objective is to transform urban transportation. The CT-2 is built with sustainable materials and a smaller battery, resulting in a low environmental impact. This car, priced around $17,400 USD.
The CT-2 has a top speed of 40 kilometers per hour (24 miles per hour) in its smallest form. It can extend to 1.4 meters (4.6 feet) to achieve 90 km/h (55 mph), making it excellent for traversing densely populated cities but less suitable for long-distance travel. It can accelerate at 50 km/h in five seconds. Moreover, it can travel for 120-180 kilometers (75-112 miles) before needing to be recharged. The vehicle is available for pre-order globally, with a deposit of $160 (150 euros).
The company has received 1,000 orders in Israel for medical emergency teams, as well as another 1,000 worldwide. Moreover, those seeking new solutions to urban mobility difficulties are eagerly anticipating the CT-2’s introduction.
