Carbar launches intelligent car health app with RACV’s Intelematics
Carbar has partnered with Intelematics, an RACV company, to develop a new app aimed at improving customer experience – giving the car subscription company a technological edge over its competitors.
Carbar customers will be able to access the new CarbarConnect app, built off the Intelematics CONNECT platform, which captures live data allowing vehicles to be monitored for health, location and faults.
Using the app, Carbar customers will now be able to digitally log all trips in their subscription vehicle for work purposes and locate it using their phone from anywhere, including a crowded car park. The Intelematics-developed app is the first of its kind in Australia.
In addition to logging trips and tracking their car’s location, Carbar customers can check their car’s rego, odometer, fuel level, and battery charge at any time and use the app to call for 24/7 roadside assistance.
“The launch of the CarbarConnect app is an extension to our commitment to improving the service experience for our subscribers,” Carbar co-founder and CEO Desmond Hang said.
“It will deliver immediate benefits to our existing subscribers, and one of many that we plan to introduce to ensure that subscription continues its trajectory to become the primary means of accessing vehicles.”
“We pride ourselves on being able to rapidly respond to the needs of our customers and provide a best-fit custom experience. Our in-house development team, combined with our specialist knowledge of the domestic fleet market gives us an edge over our larger competitors,” says Intelematics CEO Nick Marks.
“The car subscription market is a growing and progressive segment that is changing the way Australians think about car ownership. We look forward to continuing to build new technology that help companies like Carbar grow and improve their customer experience as the means to access cars continues to flex and change,” Nick adds.
The CarbarConnect application is available for download from both the Apple App Store and Android Google Play.
Carbar’s car subscription service starts at $138 per week. All Carbar car subscriptions include maintenance, roadside assist, insurance and registration. There’s no lock-in contract and at a week’s notice, Carbar customers can stop, swap or upgrade to a different car.
