BYD rolls out 7 millionth EV, Denza N7
Date: March 26, 2024. — BYD has rolled out its 7 millionth electric vehicle, the Denza N7. This marks BYD’s position as the world’s first automaker to reach this number in new energy vehicle production.
The Denza N7, unveiled at BYD’s Jinan factory in China, symbolizes the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainable transportation. It’s journey to this milestone began with the production of its 1 millionth EV in May 2021, and the company has seen rapid growth since, tripling that figure within 18 months and surpassing 5 million units just 9 months later.
In 2023, BYD’s annual sales of electric vehicles reached 3.02 million units. Moreover, this highlights its position as a significant electric vehicle manufacturer globally. The company has also been expanding its international presence, with a 337% year-on-year growth in overseas new energy passenger car sales, exceeding 240,000 units.
It’s electric vehicles, including the Seal, Atto 3, and e6, are now available in 64 countries, with manufacturing facilities in Thailand, Brazil, Uzbekistan, and Hungary. Moreover, the company’s global expansion and production achievements reflect its robust supply chain and the scalability of its operations.
