Bosch, Tencent sign MoU for co-driving digital transition of mobility service

On Sept. 27, the leading global automotive supplier Bosch and the Chinese Internet giant Tencent entered into a strategic partnership at the Auto China to carry out an in-depth cooperation in IoT (Internet of Things) and AI areas, making joint effort to boost the digital transition for mobility service.

“From traditional automobiles to the user-centric smart mobility service, the entire auto industry is going through a disruptive reform. It is foreseeable that the mobility industry will be expanded with more contents in the future, which requires not only the incessant innovation in technologies, but also demands the thorough connectivity for the whole mobility ecosystem and the cooperation and sharing among industrial partners,” said Xu Daquan, the Executive Vice President of Bosch China. “We are glad to work with Tencent, and our open cooperation will help offer users mobility services with greater experience and more values.

Under the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) signed on spot, Bosch China and Tencent will collaborate on digital businesses, including providing OEMs with leading smart cockpit solutions, jointly digging data value out to offer auto industry and consumers value-added services about in-car system, contents and autonomous driving, and co-exploring innovative technologies and business models.

Besides, both parties will reinforce their collaborative innovation in next-generation intelligent mobility service. Based on Bosch’s deployment of and deep insight into automobile, architecture and industry businesses, they will team up on developing better solutions and products for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
