BluSmart hits 7,000 EV fleet milestone in India
Date: March 15, 2024. — BluSmart, the electric vehicle operator in India, has achieved the milestone of 7,000 electric vehicles (EVs) in its fleet. This makes BluSmart the operator of Southeast Asia’s largest EV fleet, featuring models like the Tata Tigor EV, MG ZS EV, and BYD E6. BluSmart operates in Delhi NCR and Bangalore, offering ride-hailing services and an EV charging infrastructure network.
BluSmart has so far provided 12.5 million all-electric trips, covering 410 million kilometers through its EV fleet. It has saved about 30 million kilograms of CO2 emissions since its inception. BluSmart also owns and operates more than 4,400 EV chargers across 36 EV Charging superhubs. These superhubs cover 1.5 million square feet in densely populated urban areas.

BluSmart has recently reached an annual revenue run rate exceeding $55 million. It is experiencing over 100% year-on-year growth. Earlier this year, the company secured $200 million in growth capital through a mix of equity and debt. Investments came from responsAbility Investments AG and leading Development Financial Institutions (DFIs), ensuring sustainable growth and expansion.
