AutoX granted approval for RoboTaxi testing in Guangzhou
AutoX, a Chinese autonomous driving tech firm, has received approval to conduct intelligent connected vehicle remote testing with an empty driver’s seat in Guangzhou city. The approval covers all open autonomous driving testing roads in Guangzhou.
AutoX has also expanded its driverless RoboTaxi service to several locations in China and the United States. These locations include Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing, and Silicon Valley. It offers Shenzhen’s largest fully driverless RoboTaxi service area, which spans 65 square miles. AutoX in Shanghai has developed Asia’s largest RoboTaxi operations center, with a fleet of over 1,000 vehicles. In California, It was the second business to get a driverless permit from the state DMV, following Waymo.
AutoX promises to democratize autonomy and hasten the adoption of completely driverless vehicles. Its RoboTaxi service is open to the public, allowing anybody to experience the convenience and safety of self-driving vehicles. AutoX’s self-driving car is powered by its unique Gen5 fully driverless system. It can handle the most complicated and dynamic traffic circumstances in big centers throughout the world.
With approval for remote unmanned testing in Guangzhou, AutoX intends to ramp up testing efforts throughout the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. This will connect Shenzhen and Guangzhou to become the country’s largest RoboTaxi network. This strategic endeavor intends to provide the groundwork for the widespread commercialization of Level 4 completely unmanned autonomous driving.
