Atul Greentech Private Limited, Valeo India Private Limited, and Honda Power Pack Energy India (HEID)—have partnered to introduce battery-swappable electric three-wheelers.
The agreement introduces two new vehicles: the ENERGIE SWAP for cargo, providing a range of 74 kilometers per swap, and the MOBILI SWAP for passenger transport, which offers a 79-kilometer range per battery exchange. The design of these cars addresses a significant problem regarding the adoption of electric vehicles: the downtime incurred while charging.
As a subsidiary of Atul Auto Limited, Atul Greentech leverages its know-how in the design and manufacturing of electric three-wheelers for domestic and international markets. Valeo, a global leader in 48V systems, has recently launched a compact powertrain system designed specifically for small mobility vehicles in India. HEID’s battery switch stations finalize the ecosystem by enabling quick battery exchanges and eliminating lengthy charging breaks.
This initiative is a strategic move aimed at accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles in India’s transport sector, particularly regarding urban logistics and last-mile connectivity. The alliance’s goal is to enhance the viability and accessibility of electric mobility for fleet operators and individual users alike by addressing critical challenges such as charging duration and range anxiety.
