ARAI expands its presence in central India by establishing a new facility at NATRAX in Indore

The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), a mobility research, testing and certification organisation under the Ministry of Heavy Industries of the Government of India, has officially opened its new office and vehicle testing facility at the National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX) in Indore. The inauguration was led by Dr. Reji Mathai, director of ARAI, alongside Abdul Jabbar Akbar Badusha, senior deputy director and head of the Vehicle Evaluation Laboratory, along with other senior officials and a customer delegation.

This facility has been established to meet the increasing demands of India’s fast-evolving automotive industry, characterized by significant technological advancements. The site will facilitate advanced vehicle dynamics testing, as well as evaluation of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and other related services. The new ARAI-VE Lab Workplace at NATRAX aims to cater to a wide range of the automotive ecosystem, including vehicle and system manufacturers, as well as tire companies throughout the country.
