Anritsu’s USB4® version 2.0 test solution earns USB-IF hardware certification
Press Release, 15 December 2025
Anritsu Corporation has reached an important milestone in advanced connectivity testing with its USB4® Version 2.0 (USB4 v2) test solution receiving official hardware certification from the USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF). This certification validates Anritsu’s Signal Quality Analyzer-R MP1900A as a compliant tool for evaluating the latest USB4 standard, which supports ultra-fast data transmission speeds of up to 80 Gbit/s — double the performance of the previous USB4 version.
The USB4 v2 certification confirms that Anritsu’s test solution can reliably assess interface performance and compliance for next-generation high-speed devices. As modern applications — ranging from high-resolution video systems and external GPUs to high-speed storage and VR/AR platforms — demand ever-greater bandwidth and stability, rigorous testing becomes central to ensuring product quality and interoperability. USB4 v2 introduces technical upgrades like Pulse Amplitude Modulation 3-level (PAM3) signaling for better bandwidth efficiency and enhanced link-training mechanisms to improve connection reliability, and Anritsu’s solution meets these evolving requirements.
Built on the MP1900A platform a high-performance Bit Error Rate Testing (BERT) system the certified solution enables engineers to validate USB4 v2 receivers with comprehensive checks, including jitter and noise performance as well as link-training behaviors. This makes it a critical asset for semiconductor developers, test laboratories, and eventually consumer product manufacturers developing USB4 v2-enabled hubs, cables, docking solutions, and peripherals.
The USB-IF hardware certification underscores Anritsu’s role in advancing high-speed interface testing at a time when seamless connectivity and data throughput are pivotal for digital ecosystems. By providing compliant test infrastructure for USB4 v2, Anritsu supports broader industry adoption of this cutting-edge standard and helps accelerate the deployment of future-ready devices across electronics, computing, and connectivity markets.
