AEIM to invest ₹10,000 crores in semiconductor plant in Raipur
News, 26 November 2025
Semiconductor-materials manufacturer Artificial Electronics Intelligent Materials (AEIM) has announced plans to invest ₹10,000 crore by 2030 for its upcoming plant near Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The company has already secured 11.28 acres in the Kosala Industrial Park (Nava Raipur), with construction beginning immediately. The first phase of the plant is slated for completion by May 2026, using advanced post-tensioned slab technology to fast-track development.
This facility aims to produce critical semiconductor materials — including sapphire ingots and wafers, and next-gen electronic substrates — helping build India’s domestic electronics supply chain. Commercial production is targeted for the third quarter of 2026. With this move, AEIM expects to generate over 4,000 high-skilled direct jobs, contributing to talent development, regional growth, and boosting Chhattisgarh’s ambition to become a semiconductor manufacturing hub.
The project benefits from favourable industrial policy incentives, including up to 40% capital subsidy under state support. AEIM has already placed equipment orders with global suppliers from Japan, South Korea, and the United States — signalling serious intent to deliver a world-class facility.
In short: AEIM’s ₹10,000 crore bet on Raipur isn’t just a plant — it’s a strong push toward making Central India a core node in global semiconductor supply, while bringing high-quality jobs and high-tech manufacturing to the region.
