ACMA recognises innovation in component industry at its 59th Excellence Awards

The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) hosted its 59th Excellence Awards & 10th AMF Technology Summit 2025 in New Delhi. The event, themed “Viksit Bharat: Innovating for an Inclusive, Sustainable & Resilient Manufacturing Future”, celebrated the contributions of 60 distinguished auto component manufacturers, who collectively secured 109 awards across 10 categories, with multiple recognitions per category for outstanding performance. The platform recognized excellence in manufacturing, sustainability, digitization, localization, and exports.
The summit was attended by distinguished dignitaries and industry leaders, including the chief guest, Shri H.D. Kumaraswamy, Hon’ble Minister of Heavy Industries & Steel, Govt. of India. Also present were Ms. Shradha Suri Marwah, President, ACMA & CMD, Subros Ltd.; Mr. Shailesh Chandra, President, SIAM and MD, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. & Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd.; Mr. Vikrampati Singhania, Vice President, ACMA; and Mr. Vinnie Mehta, Director General, ACMA, among other key figures.
Speaking at the summit, Ms. Shradha Suri Marwah, said, “We thank the Ministry of Heavy Industries for their steadfast support and transformative policies like the PLI scheme and PM e-drive. In FY2024, the industry achieved a USD 74.1 billion turnover with USD 21.2 billion in exports. We are committed to driving growth in FY2025 through innovation and collaboration.”
She added, “Our inclusive approach – waiving award application fees for small enterprises, companies with over 15% women employees, and those employing at least 5% differently abled individuals – has spurred a record number of applications this year.”
The ACMA Excellence Awards and AMF Tech Summit also served as the platform to release the “Revving Up Exports: The Next Phase of Export Growth for the Auto Component Industry” report in collaboration with the Boston Consulting Group, which provides a comprehensive, multi-faceted strategy to achieve the $100 billion exports target set by the Ministry of Commerce.
Mr. Vinnie Mehta, Director General, ACMA, added, “The ACMA Excellence Awards & AMF Technology Summit celebrate the accomplishments of the component industry and further push us to raise the bar. Through collaboration and sustainable growth, we continue to drive India’s auto component sector to new heights.”
The summit showcased the industry’s commitment to excellence, underscored by a USD 300 million trade surplus, and set a roadmap for the future. By uniting leaders and experts, it reinforced the role of technology and innovation in propelling India’s auto component sector onto the global stage. These achievements signal a future of sustainable, inclusive, and globally competitive growth.
