Lithium Urban Technologies and Fourth Partner Energy partner with HIDCO to set up EV Charging Station in Kolkata
Lithium Urban Technologies and Fourth Partner Energy in collaboration with HIDCO will set up an EV charging station at New Town, Kolkata under the new brand Powerbunk. The company claimed that this will be India’s largest public charging station.
Additionally, Lithium plans to roll out 1000 EVs in Kolkata in 2-3 years’ time resulting into an investment of Rs 150 Crore to enable the transition of corporates diesel vehicles to green wheels.
Commenting on the partnership, Ashwin Mahesh, Cofounder and CEO, Lithium Urban Technologies said, “We are extremely thankful to HIDCO for being a champion of this step, and we look forward to championing sustainable mobility together in West Bengal.”

Meanwhile, Rakhi Basu, Transport Expert, World Bank said, “Lithium’s expansion to Kolkata goes beyond scaling up sustainable mobility and can be seen as green recovery from the pandemic.”
As per the release, the partnership will create more than 3000+ direct and indirect jobs in the state of Kolkata.
Lithium is also planning to other cities in the East such as Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Jamshedpur.
