Uber’s self driving cars back on the streets of California but only for mapping purpose

Uber’s self driving cars are back on the streets of San Francisco. Last month when Uber had launched its self driving cars in the city it had drawn flak from DMV, California which regarded this as illegal. Later, the company was forced to withdraw its cars. It is being reported that the company still doesn’t have the permission to test its autonomous vehicles , the cars deployed will just be used for the mapping purposes. The cars are being driven manually at all times and their self-driving systems are disabled.
