Self-driving cars will be on the road within 3 years, says Nvidia CEO

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has given a statement that self-driving cars will be on the roads and highways by 2020, Venture Beat has reported. Nvidia is one of the leading companies working on self-driving technology. The company makes car computers like Drive PX 2, Pegasus etc that are used in self-driving cars being developed by several companies.

Nvidia is a key member of Apollo driving platform alliance and has been working with many companies like Tesla, Honda, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz and BMW, Autoliv, Toyota, Bosch, HELLA, ZF etc on several aspects of self-driving cars. The company has been working on AI and neural networks from last few years and is a leader in this field. So the considering the level of involvement of the company in this field makes the statement by Huang very significant.
