Seegrid’s self-driving vehicles have reached 1 million production miles

Seegrid has announced that its self-driving vehicles have reached 1 million production miles at customer sites without any personnel safety incident. The company makes connected self-driving vehicles for materials handling.

The company claims that its vision guided vehicles (VGVs) have logged more infrastructure-free miles at customer sites than any other infrastructure-free AGV company.

Seegrid uses a combination of stereo cameras and perception technology that allows its VGVs to see the world like humans do. Their eyes capture and build a detailed, 360-degree map of the world around them. When something in their environment changes, VGVs continue working, confident in their path.
