National Truck Protection Co. launched a new, low-cost, fully featured telematics solution for multiple truck applications

National Truck Protection Co. Inc. has teamed up with two of the most successful leaders in GPS management systems; GeoTab and Assured Telematics (ATI), to provide complete, cost-effective solutions for Independent Truckers, Finance and Leasing companies, and Owner Operators.

“Customers will benefit from a fault monitoring service, vehicle diagnostics and regulatory compliance. These benefits are available in a real-time application for monitoring vehicles from any mobile device, as well as seamless integration to a number of third-party products,” said Robert Amico, President and CEO of NTP.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) mandated the use of electronic logging devices (ELDs) in 2015, giving fleets a relatively short window to implement them. NTP’s Telematics solutions provide several compliance tools such as hours of service (HOS), International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) mileage collection, and driver-vehicle inspection reporting (DVIR) into a cost effective solution. An easy-to use approach to electronic logging, it gives Owner Operators the information they need for improved safety and efficiency while ensuring compliance with the ELD mandate.

The NTP Telematics package communicates to NTP’s proprietary Vehicle Protection Platform and also provides customers with real-time fault monitoring and vehicle diagnostics. Customers can then identify critical maintenance issues and proactively maintain vehicles based on fault severity, ultimately avoiding expensive breakdowns. NTP’s solutions take raw data generated from these systems and produce detailed analyses on real-time activities and historical records. Reports are highly visual and instantly readable with simple tables, charts, maps, and more, tailored to each customer’s unique needs and goals.

NTP’s Telematics customers will receive complete set-up, training and ongoing support. The package includes unlimited Webinar training for all levels of users in the system as well as Online help. “NTP is delighted to provide the marketplace with this feature-rich, yet inexpensive solution. The marketplace will reap all the benefits of fault monitoring, real-time diagnostics and reporting, while also becoming fully compliant with the ELD mandate,” Amico continued.

The NTP Telematics solution will be available at commercial truck dealers throughout the United States as well as directly from NTP.
