Canada: TELUS, Mojio and ZTE partner to launch TELUS Drive+, a connected car device

TELUS, a Canadian telecommunications company has partnered with Mojio, the leading open platform for connected cars, and ZTE, a premier manufacturer of phones, tablets, Wi-Fi and connected car devices. Togather they have launched TELUS Drive+, a solution that will enable Canadians to equip their vehicles with a range of exciting features that aim to make driving smarter, safer and more convenient. The Drive+ also offers important driving safety features, vehicle diagnostics and convenient connectivity for passengers.

The device has been built by ZTE and runs on Canada’s largest and fastest mobile network TELUS. The device is said to be compatible with most vehicles built after 1996 and simply plugs into the car’s On-Board Diagnostic (OBD-II) port. There are several features like car tracking, vehicle diagnostics and in-car Wifi available through the device. For this the customers need to download the TELUS Drive+ app, powered by Mojio, on their smartphone available both on Apple App Store or Google Play.
